1. Advantages of aluminum titanium carbon grain refiner(AlTiC):

1) AlTiC grain refiner is more purer than AlTiB, as potassium fluoborate isn't added during the production of AlTiC grain refiner. Besides, AlTiC will help improve the property, reduce the drawback and crack of the aluminum products.

2) The size of heterogeneous TiC grain is sub-micron, widely dispersed and dis-aggregated.

3) Zirconium and Chromium elements of aluminum alloys (such as 7000 series alloys) will make AlTiB alloys severely poisoned and the refinement capability of AlTiB will also become decreased significantly. However, the poisoned situation AlTiC in the aluminum products containing Zr and Cr will be weaker than AlTiB.

4) Nucleation rate of AlTiC alloys is ten times than AlTiB. The desired refinement effect will be seen in three minutes after AlTiC is added. Refining effect of AlTiC is very significant and the refining time could keep 150 minutes.
