Q: Why adding AlTiC grain refiner before degassing?
A: Generally when using AlTiB, customer will be suggested to add it after degassing, that's because AlTiB can only last 30min refinement time and will decline fast, there isn't enough time if adding before degassing.
However, Fengyue AlTiC has long effective refinement time, according to our test, it can last more than 120min and will not decline, so it can be added before degassing to achieve better grain size and mechanical property.
